Mont-Louis and the fortifications of Vauban. Llivia with a strong Spanish influence and a pharmacy which dates from 1415. Llowith its Romanesque church and tower which command an outstanding view also boast natural hot spring (not an unpleasant way to soothe the muscles).
Down towards the plain, there is Villefranche deConflent with its 17th century ramparts and nearby grottos of natural and wonderful formations. During the month of June, Prades hosts its annual festival of music in honour of Pablo Casals.
With the “petit train jaune” (little yellow train) you can gently travel across the Cerdagne and take in its impressive and quite unique landscape. This train is also practical as it takes you all the way to Villefranche with a stop at the Saillagouse railway station.
Winter: Alpine skiing, cross-country, skiing, snowboarding, dog sledges. Local experienced guides are available for most activities. Summer: Mountainbiking, biking, fishing, tennis, paragliding, sailing, via-ferrata, climbing, rafting, canyoning, horse riding, etc.
